From March 2-3, a small group of travel industry colleagues joined together at Westlake Village Inn in Los Angeles for the annual Women in Travel & Hospitality Conference, hosted by the Travel Industry Executive Women’s Network (TIEWN).
Over the course of two days, attendees discussed the theme of “Finding Your Circle of Influence” via panels, small-group sessions, open-forum discussions and structured networking opportunities. Discussions largely focused on trends in hospitality, leadership, branding, entrepreneurship, self-reflection and navigating life transitions, among other topics.
“You don’t gain a circle of influence by attending a conference and listening to the facilitators,” said Kris Potter, TIEWN board member. “You [do it] by getting to know people, starting conversations and keeping those conversations going.”
