Built in 1928, the heart of this 54-room boutique bastion is a magnificent Italian Renaissance Revival abode, a two-story family escape originally designed for shipping magnate Edgar Perry. Known as Commadore, Mr. Perry was the neighborhood's first resident, and he commandeered a stunning 10-acre plot, creating vast gardens that, to this day, still impress arrivals.
