Designers for this hotel drew on two sources for inspiration, the travels of fur trader and cartographer David Thompson and the cloud swept skies of Alberta.

The result is a main floor that flows past the compact reception desk, with its cloud-shaped lighting fixtures, into the expansive Shoe & Canoe Public House.
