Location and History

Located at the mouth of the Miami River, 300 yards south of its more commercially oriented sibling InterContinental, this was Kimpton's first venture in Florida, and it opened as one of this normally modestly proportioned chain's largest.

Sharing the top 20 or so floors with condominiums, the hotel occupies the first 30 floors of this 52-story modern high-rise.
