CLIA Offers New Online Travel Agent Courses
Travel advisors can further their cruise knowledge with CLIA’s new courses.

What
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced two new online courses and three updated courses for travel professionals.

Why It Matters
New courses cover topics such as building client loyalty and power-selling techniques, while updated courses include Cruising 201, a more in-depth look into the cruise industry; and World Geography - Eastern Hemisphere and World Geography - Western Hemisphere, crash courses in cruise destinations. Travel pros looking to increase their expertise can hone their skills with theseaffordable classes ($29 per course for CLIA members; $59 per course for non-members). (www.cruising.org)

- New courses include: Building Client Loyalty, which will teach travel professionals how to generate loyalty among customers, and Power Selling Techniques, which building on the foundation of Power Selling Skills course.

- Updated courses include Cruising 201, where agents can explore more in-depth where popular cruise regions are, types of itineraries that are common with cruise line products, details regarding cruise pricing and what is included in a cruise fare as well as how to position the value of a cruise vacation; World Geography - Western Hemisphere, a highly participatory workshop; and World Geography - Eastern Hemisphere, a crash course on Eastern Hemisphere cruise geography.

- CLIA’s online courses are available to Individual Agent Members at the discounted member rate of $29 per course and non-member travel professionals at $59 per course.
