What
Signature Travel Network is following its sold-out Embark Sales and Marketing Bootcamp for new-to-industry advisors with a series of training events designed for new agents and independent contractors (ICs). The weeklong trainings will take place this May, July, August and October.
Why It Matters
Investing in new trainings and education is forward-thinking: A recent influx of new agents and ICs to the industry are driving travel agency growth. Owners would be wise to devote time to the development of this group for their potential to boost business.
Fast Facts
-Independent Contractors from Signature’s member agencies are invited the week of March 11, and full-time employees of agencies are meeting the week of May 20.
-Graduates of the program will enter into a year-long partnership and have access to special trainings and certifications, monthly coaching sessions, community support and individual assistance from Signature staff.
What They Are Saying
“The whole idea behind the Embark Sales & Marketing Bootcamp is to help new travel advisors become truly successful in their first year in the industry,” said Nolan Burris, talent development consultant for Signature. “In the past, it was considered normal to take 3-5 years to achieve that goal. In today’s competitive job market, that is simply not going to work. So, everything about Embark was designed to create rapid grown in sales and earnings for the agency and the advisor.”
“I learned more in five days than I ever could have imagined and gained so much confidence in myself as a travel advisor,” said Mackenzie Dolle of JetSet World Travel. “I truly gained insight on how to better market myself and sell.”
“This is just the type of assistance we need as owners,” said Scott Caddow, owner of Legendary World Travel. “There are many things that we can do, and do well, but this is one of those training activities, that Signature can provide in a way that we cannot match.”
