Avoya Travel’s new Avoya Flights program, which launched this month in its beta version, will give the network’s Independent Agencies a new way to book their clients’ air.

The program will include a flight-booking engine, a dedicated service desk (via phone or email), competitive rates and commissionable airfares. It can be accessed via Agent Power, Avoya’s patented SaaS technology, and will be released to all Avoya Network members during the second quarter of 2023.

Our Analysis: A Simplified Air-Booking Process Will Increase Revenue Opportunities

Many travel advisors have avoided booking air, thanks to GDS technologies and a lack of viable commission offerings from airlines (which infamously capped commissions in the 1990s/early 2000s).  The new Avoya Flights program is a solution that will not only open up a new revenue stream for agents, but also allow them to take back full control of their clients’ bookings at every step of the journey.

Fast Facts: How Does the Avoya Flights Program Work?

- Through the software, Avoya members will be able to view and compare routes, fare options and commissions from a variety of airlines.
- The dedicated air desk will provide hands-on assistance to members, either over the phone or via email.

- The program will allow travel advisors to compare routes, carriers and fares using an intuitive booking engine user interface within Agent Power, the same software system they are already familiar with.

- Advisors will be able to review all tickets prior to purchase.

What They Are Saying: The New Program Will Usher in a New Era for Travel Advisor Air Bookings

“The launch of Avoya Flights ushers in a new era for Avoya’s travelers and advisors," said Jeff Anderson, co-CEO of Avoya Travel. "The ability to seamlessly provide bespoke vacation planning and booking services to now include air travel will help elevate the Avoya Network to new heights. Avoya Flights further develops our award-winning platform to continuously deliver innovative solutions for all of its user groups, and we couldn’t be more excited.”

“I am excited for the Avoya Flights program,” said Badonna Birdsong, owner of Badonna’s Travel World, LLC, a member of the Avoya Network. “The ease of using the platform along with the dedicated support is a game changer. This program is another wonderful resource in providing one-stop services within my independent agency.”
