Abercrombie and Kent has added extra departure dates on some of its most popular family journeys this summer and fall. Due to popular demand, clients now have more flexibility on Abercrombie and Kent's adventures ranging from safaris to cultural explorations across the globe.
Abercrombie and Kent is offering two additional departure dates (July 7 and 24) for the 11-day Kenya Family Safari. On this tour, young safari-goers embark on game drives and encounters with giraffe, antelope, elephants, ostrich, zebras and leopards. The family can take guided walks with a focus on game tracking, go butterfly catching, swim and participate in art projects back at camp.
With an additional departure date on Aug. 5, Abercrombie and Kent will bring families to Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands for a 16-day adventure. Families will wander through Machu Picchu in the misty morning to explore the ruins at sunrise, spend time in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and explore the Galapagos Islands for seven nights. They will also cruise on a panga (rubber boat), explore the islands' rocky, wildlife-filled beaches and see landmarks, such as Pinnacle Rock on Bartolome Island, Gardner Bay and Punta Suarez on Espanola with a naturalist guide. Flexible mealtimes, games and activities on the ship -- as well as nature walks paced for young explorers -- help keep everyone engaged.
