Bicycle Adventures has introduced the Volcanoes of Washington Bike Tour, showcasing the Pacific Northwest’s Ring of Fire. The eight-day, seven-night ride starts in Seattle and ends in Portland where travelers bike by way of 20 major volcanic centers paralleling the Pacific Ocean and traversing the Cascade Mountains. Mileage averages to about 70 miles per day. Noteworthy volcanoes include Mount St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams.
The per person, double rate of $3,495 includes accommodations at two National Park lodges, all meals except one lunch and one dinner, guide services and van support. Departures this year are on July 20 and Aug. 10.
