Tour operator Adventures by Disney and Disney Cruise Line are teaming up this year to provide cruising families with privately guided tour packages in Mediterranean or Alaskan ports of call, as well as pre-cruise tours at the port of embarkation for select Alaskan Wonders and Mediterranean Magic itineraries.
Families can book an Escape pre-cruise package in either Vancouver, British Columbia, or Barcelona, Spain. The three-night Vancouver Escape takes place prior to select Disney Cruise Line itineraries to Alaska and includes ziplining; a tour of Stanley Park; and a gondola ride to Grouse Mountain. The three-night Barcelona Escape takes place before select Mediterranean cruises and includes visits to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral; an archaeological experience and mountain hike; and a flamenco farewell.
Families may also book a combined cruise vacation that includes specially designed, upgraded shore excursions.
In related Disney Cruise Line news, the line announced that kids ages 17 and under can sail for free onboard select seven-night itineraries of the Disney Wonder in Alaska from May 3 to June 7. This special offer applies when children sail with two full-fare-paying adults in the same Veranda or Oceanview stateroom. Rates for seven-night Alaska itineraries onboard the Disney Wonder are priced from $1,249 per person, based on double occupancy. Agents should use the promotional code KFO at the time of booking.
