Q: Can you tell me more about Pacific Delight’s 2007 program enhancements?
A:Recently, we added private visits to the Artifacts Room at the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum in Xian and Historical Walking Tours of the Bund in Shanghai. In the Artifacts Room, clients learn about art and artifacts that go back before the birth of Christ. They also can put on white gloves and handle some of the objects.
The Walking Tour of the Bund and French Concession in Shanghai is led by an expert in architecture and history. Clients learn about the history of Shanghai as reflected by the city’s homes and buildings.
Q:Pacific Delight also created group programs. Can you tell me more about these?
A: Pacific Delight is the leader in group travel to China. We have the expertise and experience to do virtually anything. For example, we have high school marching band groups that parade in Tiananmen Square and the streets of Beijing, and medical groups that teach Eastern medicine, some in conjunction with continuing education credits. Our group sizes vary from small groups to large conferences.
Q:Along with group programs, Pacific Delight tailors trips for students as well?
A: The bulk of the student visits come through our various group tours. For some of these programs, with advance notice, we can set up an e-pal program where students from the U.S. meet with Chinese students to chat and exchange e-mails.
Q: Tell me about your background at Pacific Delight? What does your position entail?
A: My title is Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. I direct all aspects of our marketing program, which includes advertising, promotional activities, public relations, relationships with travel agents and development of collateral materials. From the sales perspective, I oversee and work with a group of seasoned sales professionals.
Q: What services set Pacific Delight apart from other tour operators?
A: On an overview basis, we have the depth of experience in China that makes it possible to create a hassle-free tour with cultural experiences that turn the journey into a memorable learning experience. Our tour directors are the best in the business, and our hotels are pre-confirmed with upgraded rooms.
