As with many of today’s cruise lines, Royal Caribbean International (RCI) is tailoring its ships and program offerings to kids of all ages and, just recently, the line announced new dining options, programs and activities for families.
Along with its new My Family Time Dining, which helps kids finish their dinners in 45 minutes, allowing parents to enjoy coffee and dessert at their leisure, RCI is also offering healthful Vitality options on its new children’s menus. The new menu items will be available fleet-wide in July.
For children ages 3 to 11, RCI is also providing a Lunch and Play option, which includes a nutritious lunch during days spent at sea. For $7.95 per child, parents can treat their kids to lunch, movies, cartoons and playtime from noon to 2 p.m. under the watchful supervision of Adventure Ocean counselors. Parents also pre-select the exact items in their child’s lunchbox.
RCI is also offering new programs for babies ages six to 18 months and for toddlers ages 18 to 36 months. The new Royal Babies and Royal Tots programs expand upon the line’s popular Fisher-Price playgroup program by focusing on activities for younger children.
