Tauck World Discovery is offering two new World Cities tours during 2014 in London and Florence as well as a new annual “The Tauck London Event.” Tauck is also bringing back its annual “Roman Holiday” event in Rome. Plans for another Tauck event in Paris for the 2015 New Year are also in the works, according to Tauck CEO Dan Mahar.
The World Cities tours consist of all-inclusive five-night stays in luxury hotels with in-depth exploration of a particular city. The tours are offered multiple times throughout the season and consist of groups of up to 24 travelers.
Tauck events, on the other hand, only occur once a year and welcome up to 200 guests who are split into smaller groups. These events often include gala gatherings at exclusive venues. In the Roman holiday trip, for example, visitors get a chance to dine in the Vatican museums.
There will be eight departures of Tauck’s “World Cities…London” trip between April and October 2014. The trip starts at $3,590 per person and includes themed explorations of the city such as “Diamond Jubilee and Royal Wedding” and “Shakespeare and The Arts.” Visitors will stay in the Langham, London.
The “World Cities…Florence” trips will depart 10 times between March and November 2014. Starting at $3,190 per person, the trip will consist of a stay at the Hotel Bernini Palace and several themed tours of Florence’s Renaissance landmarks.
“The Tauck London Event” will take place on Sept.19-24, 2013 and on May 22-27, 2014, and will also feature a stay at the Langham, London. Guests will be split into smaller groups for themed sightseeing tours on topics such as London’s Victorian Era and the impact of World War II on London. Visitors will have an opportunity to attend a discussion with Celia Sandys, Winston Churchill’s biographer and granddaughter. Prices start at $5,290 per person for the September event, and start at $5,590 per person for the May event.
“The Roman Holiday” Tauck event will take place Oct. 18-23, 2014 and includes a stay at the Westin Excelsior, Rome. Its themed tours include “Ancient Rome: Romulus to the Caesars” and “The Eternal City: Geniuses of Rome.” Several exclusive events are included such as a private fashion show and an opera performance. Prices start at $5,390 per person.
