Last December, Singapore welcomed the world’s largest oceanarium with the opening of the Marine Life Park at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). Marine Life Park is comprised of more than 16 million gallons of water in two venues, housing more than 100,000 marine animals made up of approximately 800 species.
Marine Life Park is the second attraction at Marina Bay Sands, following the opening of Universal Studios Singapore. The park includes two separately ticketed world-class attractions — Adventure Cove Waterpark and S.E.A. Aquarium — that offer a glimpse into the aquatic world, with the option of either observing from dry land or taking part in the action. Adventure Cove Waterpark is the region’s only waterpark that features marine life elements, including Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic roller coaster. Guests can relax at Bluwater Bay wave pool, take on thrilling waterslides, journey along Adventure River by tube, snorkel over a coral reef with 20,000 fish and wade among manta rays. S.E.A. Aquarium, the world’s biggest aquarium, offers sightings of more than 800 species of marine life, including more than 200 species of sharks.
With a dedication to marine education, conservation and research, Marine Life Park also offers a range of programs designed to deepen visitors’ understanding of the ocean environment and ecosystems, as well as how to protect and conserve them. www.mlp.rwsentosablog.com
