Luxury tour operator Greaves Tours is offering a 12-day, 10-night
Jewels of India Tour offering travelers a journey through India’s
most popular cities, including Mumbai, the commercial capital of
India, and Delhi, the country’s political capital.
The small-group tours a maximum of eight travelers and
commissionable at 10 percent include accommodations at Oberoi Vilas
properties offering spa and rejuvenation facilities. Tours feature
personalized service and local guides versed in the history,
customs and language of the region.
The tour includes the first two-and-a-half days in Mumbai (Bombay)
include exploring the sites of the capital, including its Victorian
architecture before an afternoon flight to Udaipur, where travelers
will stay three nights at Oberoi Udaivillas and tour the lakeside
city, temples and city palace. A full-day excursion also takes in
the Jain Temples at Rajasthan.
In Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, travelers will stay two nights at
Oberoi Rajvilas before driving the next day past the Hawa Mahal
(Palace of the Winds) and continuing to Amber, ascending to this
hilltop fort on elephant back.
An early-morning drive to Agra via the deserted city of Fatepurh
Sikri ends with a stay at Oberoi Amarvilas near the Taj Mahal,
where visitors can take a dawn visit to the site.
Tours are priced from $5,466 per person, double, excluding
international airline tickets, meals except where noted on the
