Ritz Tours Explores Treasures of China

May 18, 2009

Ritz Tours is offering a number of enticing deals for travel to China this year.

An eight-day China Special, for example, provides travelers with the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds of Beijing, Suzhou and Shanghai. On the way to Beijing, travelers will visit the ancient Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall of China and the elaborate Temple of Heaven, among several other locations. The next stop is Suzhou, nicknamed the “Venice of the East.” Here, travelers will enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal and pay a visit to a silk factory to see how the fabric is produced. The trip concludes in Shanghai, where travelers can visit the Yu Garden, the riverfront Bund area and simply take in the city.

The China Special package starts from $1,566 per person, based on double occupancy. It features roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco; airfare between cities visited in China; hotel accommodations; sightseeing in an air-conditioned motorcoach; meals and entertainment, depending on the tour’s itinerary; the guidance of knowledgeable tour guides; and fuel surcharges. Departures for this tour are available through August.

With Ritz Tours’ Yangtze Special, clients have the opportunity to cruise along China’s most famous of rivers. This 14-day tour is priced from $1,985 per person, based on double occupancy. The package features roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco; airfare between cities visited in China; roundtrip airport transfers; a seven-day/six-night Yangtze River Cruise; hotel accommodations; sightseeing in an air-conditioned motorcoach; meals and entertainment, depending on the tour’s itinerary; the guidance of knowledgeable tour guides; and fuel charges.

Add-on airfares are also available for departures from all major gateways, including, but not limited to, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago and Toronto, and range from $150 to $450 per person. Ritz Tours recently added several additional departure dates for the spring and summer, including May 20, June 3, June 17, July 1, July 29 and Aug. 12. Stops on this tour include Beijing, Chongqing and Shanghai.

And, for clients who need to either cancel or interrupt their vacations, Ritz Tours is also providing Travel Protection Insurance. This is available at no additional cost to travelers, as long as they confirm their reservation and make final payments at least 60 days prior to their departure date.
