Anguilla continues to grow in all directions. The island is refining its tourism product with the opening of a new resort complex, high-end air access and destination dining.
Resort and residential development Zemi Beach Resort and Spa recently completed its first homes and is on track for a mid-2015 completion. The 5.81-acre resort, situated on more than 1,000 feet of white-sand beachfront in Shoal Bay East, will feature 28 two- and three-bedroom residences that are available for rental. Renters at Zemi Beach will have access to first-class on-site restaurants, a wine cellar, bars and lounges, infinity pools, a luxury spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center and an outdoor yoga terrace.

Up in the Air
Tradewind Aviation is a provider of first-class short range flights serving difficult-to-reach luxury destinations. The company has introduced its signature “Premium Scheduled” nonstop service between Anguilla and San Juan, Puerto Rico, set to start on Oct. 31. Scheduled flights will be offered five days a week, Thursday through Monday, with morning and afternoon flights offered in each direction. Tradewind Aviation flights accommodate eight passengers in leather seating, with air conditioning and complimentary refreshments, snacks, beer and wine. To celebrate Tradewind’s newest route, travel is discounted to $350 per one-way flight. Travel professionals may book in all major GDS systems.

Sandy Island is stepping up its dining options. A small cay off Sandy Ground beach in Anguilla, Sandy Island serves as an off-island getaway within easy reach of the mainland.
