Camana Bay Town Center Welcomes Visitors

Jun 29, 2009

Camana Bay Town Center // (c) 2009

Camana Bay Town Center

While there are many choices for visitors in Cayman Islands' Grand Cayman, Camana Bay is quickly becoming one of the island’s most popular destinations. The opening of this $400 million mixed-use, master planned community and town center in December 2007 has introduced a new range of events and activities for locals and travelers alike.

Families, in particular, benefit from the array of activities and events available at Camana Bay. Every Saturday, children are invited to gather together in the Gardenia Court to watch classic American films during Moonlight & Movies night. Children under the age of 12 can also participate in the Kids Flip Flop Workshop on July 25, where they will learn to design their own footwear with beads and decorations provided by Camana Bay. Another great family-friendly event is the Children’s Book Festival, taking place Nov. 28 and 29, featuring a mix of international and local authors, folk tales and performances and a wide range of children’s activities.

For clients interested in Caribbean music, they can try their hand at steel pans and drumming at the Caribbean Music Workshop on Oct. 3. Other entertainment at the town center includes a selection of clothing and fashion shopping boutiques, as well as a variety of cafes.

Camana Bay is also ideally situated near a number of hotel accommodations, ranging from high-end luxury to more affordable options.
