Scheduled to open in January, Solis The Palmyra Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will offer guests privileged access to some of the region’s most sought after golf courses, Cinnamon Hill Golf Course, Half Moon Bay Golf Links and The White Witch Golf Course, all a short drive away.
Guests of the resort will be given preferential tee times and special green fee rates of $125 per person (during low season) and $159 per person (during high season). Included in the green fees are a caddie, cart rental, valet service for golf shoes and clubs and roundtrip transportation to and from the course.
Each course has a distinctly different flavor. For instance, the 600-acre The White Witch Golf Course winds through the mountains of Rose Hall Plantation, yet offers views of the Caribbean Sea from 16 of its holes.
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and renovated by Roger Rulewich, Half Moon Bay Golf Links is carved out of the foothills of the coast. It also offers half-day programs for all skill levels at Half Moon’s David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
Built on a 400-acre sugar plantation, Cinnamon Hill Golf Course proves to be a rather challenging 18-hole championship course that features a waterfall, inlaid stone walls and sugar mill plantation remains. It has served as the set for a well-known seduction scene in the James Bond movie “Live and Let Die.”
Already a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the soon-to-open Solis The Palmyra Resort & Spa will offer 299 guestrooms and is a mere 15-minute drive from Montego Bay International Airport.
