Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Peru on Globus' Peru Splendors tour. It was an amazing trip, from the guides to the properties.
One of the elements of the program that most surprised me was the Casa Andina hotel brand. I had never stayed at a Casa Andina hotel until we stayed at the Casa Andina Private Collection Sacred Valley. The hotel is unique and upscale, with the feel of an Andean lodge, but with all the modern amenities. I especially liked the private outdoor shower and deep tub in my guestroom. Waking up to views of the lush, mist-shrouded mountains surrounding the hotel is a memory to be treasured. Tell clients to be sure to say hello to the llama that lives on property.
Other Casa Andina properties include those in Cusco __ housed in classic Spanish Colonial buildings with inner courtyards __ several of which are located close to the main plaza.
Globus has the good sense to use this well-run, top-notch South American hotel brand for its tours. Travel agents should make sure they are educated on the brand as well.
