Last month, a tourism delegation from Argentina visited Los Angeles for a cocktail soiree and a meetings event with travel advisors.

According to Daniel Manzella, president of Destino Argentina, the first-ever Argentina on Tour was part of an initiative to bring the country’s premium destinations — from Buenos Aires to Mendoza and Patagonia — closer to top travel advisors and industry professionals in L.A., which is home to a growing number of prospective clients.

"By fostering direct connections, we ensure that Argentina is positioned as a must-visit destination for high-end travelers,” Manzella said.

Below, Manzella shares why Argentina is investing in Los Angeles advisors — and why now.

Is this the first time this event was held in L.A.?

What is the thinking behind promoting Argentina in L.A. now?

Los Angeles is a key market for Argentina, with a strong demand for luxury travel experiences and adventure tourism. We recognize the growing interest from the West Coast and saw a great opportunity to further engage with high-end travel advisors in this region.

How are visitor numbers from the U.S. to Argentina? What percentage of visitors are from the West Coast?

The U.S. remains one of Argentina’s top inbound markets. While the majority of American visitors traditionally come from the East Coast, we have been seeing a steady increase in interest from the West Coast, particularly among travelers seeking unique cultural, wine and nature-based experiences.

According to Amadeus, in 2024 there were 5.1 million flight searches from LAX to Argentina, highlighting the growing curiosity and demand from this region.

According to Amadeus, in 2024 there were 5.1 million flight searches from LAX to Argentina, highlighting the growing curiosity and demand from this region. Moreover, for 2025, a 3.1% increase in travel to Argentina is projected.

We are also noticing that travelers are booking their flights more than six months in advance, indicating a more deliberate and planned interest in discovering our destination.

What is Argentina’s message to travel advisors this year?

Argentina offers a diverse and high-end travel experience, showcasing its stunning natural beauty while blending world-class gastronomy, renowned wine regions, breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled adventure opportunities. This year, our message focuses on authenticity, exclusivity and the richness of Argentine hospitality.

What were highlights of the Argentina on Tour event for you?

One of the key highlights was the intimate networking experience that allowed travel advisors to directly connect with Argentina’s top luxury travel providers. The curated setting of the VIP cocktail party and the in-depth discussions during the advisor meetings created meaningful connections that will translate into future business opportunities.
