Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has introduced new Career Seascape e-learning offerings to help travel agents hone their sales skills. The new Intro to Cruising series is available to CLIA’s Diamond members without charge and costs $25 per course for all other CLIA members.
The initial series of four courses includes Cruising 101, Cruising 201, Power Selling Skills and Successful Qualifying. Additional e-learning course titles, including Sell Your Passion and Put the Person Back Into Selling, are available for $25 per course.
Between May and July, seven additional online courses will roll out. In addition to the new online offerings, some courses are also being offered live.
“We continue to evolve our available training courses and are committed to offering travel agents the best tools, techniques and tips to sell cruises,” said Cindy D’Aoust, executive vice president of membership and operations for CLIA. “CLIA is looking forward to further engaging our travel agent community and building our course offerings both online and at in-person seminars.”
In addition, a new multimedia platform called CLIA Cruise TV combines information on cruising and the latest cruise trends. It also showcases industry leaders, including cruise3sixty’s State of the Cruise Industry presentation by Adam M. Goldstein, global CLIA chair and president and chief operating officer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd.
Other fresh content includes cruise3sixty’s President’s Panel, with commentary from Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line; Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises; Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line; and Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises.
CLIA Cruise TV content will be added throughout the year and include monthly videos on selling cruise travel, educational and training seminars and cruise lines content.
