The Delta Queen Steamboat Company will carry passengers on a
trip back to Civil War times on six- and seven-night cruises in
2006. Both the Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen will explore the
strategic Wilderness Rivers that were crucial to both sides of the
war and visit Civil War battlefields. Additionally, the journeys

Robertson, the premier historian on Virginia’s confederate soldiers
and author of 10 books on the Civil War; Richard McMurry, author of
four major books on the western theater; William C. “Jack” Davis,
primary consultant for the A&E TV network’s “Civil War Journal”
and author of more than 30 books on Civil War history; and Dennis
Brown, screenwriter and producer of the Lincoln at Gettysburg TV
movie, “The Perfect Tribute.”
Passengers will also enjoy the music of the Civil War performed
by balladeer Bobby Horton, and spend an evening with Abraham
Lincoln impersonator, James Getty.
