MSC Cruises has announced that it will pay travel agents
commissions on shore excursions. Agents who pre-book shore
excursions at least three days prior to the departure date will
earn 10 percent commission on the excursions.
“At MSC Cruises, we don’t just talk about our commitment to the
travel agency community we show it. We institute programs like this
that actively support and reward our agency partners,” says Richard
E. Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises (USA).
“We offer one of the most progressive commission programs in the
cruise industry. In addition to the commission on the cruise fare,
agents earn a full 10 percent air add-ons and now 10 percent on
shore excursions,” Sasso adds.
By offering this additional service, agents will help their
clients ensure they can participate in the shore excursions of
their choice and not have to take time from enjoying their cruise
to book their shore excursions onboard the ship. Descriptions of
shore excursions and rates can be found online.
“We want to make it more profitable for travel agents to sell MSC
Cruises,” says Sasso. “When they succeed, we succeed.”
