Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced Norwegian Central, a new Web-based travel agent portal. The portal was designed as a centralized location that gives travel agents simplified, single sign-in access to the line’s new booking engine, as well as all educational programs, sales and marketing tools and contacts.
Andy Stuart, executive vice president for global sales and passenger services, said agent input played a key role in creating Norwegian Central. Travel agents shared that they needed a centralized source of information in order to successfully sell the cruise line.
“It is a journey that our travel partners have taken right along with us,” Stuart said.
Norwegian Central is designed in four sections. In the Book Norwegian section, travel agents can make new reservations, manage existing reservations and review weekly promotions and pricing information. The Research and Promotional Tools section provides itineraries, deck plans and ship facts and the Cruise Enhancements section explains dining options, activities on each ship and information about hotel and transfer programs. In the Connect With Us section, agents can find contact information for local BDMs and connect with headquarters-based business development specialists. They can also search for educational opportunities, including a calendar of webinars and archived presentations, and find information on the Ask Away program.
Existing BookNCL usernames and passwords will give travel agents access to Norwegian Central.
