Nancy Murkowski, the First Lady of Alaska, christened the new
Sapphire Princess in the first cruise ship naming ceremony ever
held in Seattle. The 2,670-passenger, 116,000-ton Sapphire Princess
follows sister ship Diamond Princess to Seattle. Through summer,
the Sapphire will operate seven-day Inside Passage cruises.
Starting Sept. 22, the ship will move to San Francisco for a series
of 10-day Mexican Riviera cruises. In November the ship begins a
season of voyages to Australia/New Zealand, the South Pacific and
