Silversea Cruises has published a new Voyage Atlas describing
the 140 cruises the ultra-luxury line’s four ships will offer from
spring 2005 to spring 2006. The 160-page brochure also highlights
more than 100 pre- and post-cruise hotel and land programs, and a
broad array of shore excursions. The Atlas features images of
Silversea’s new Ambassador, actress and model Isabella Rossellini,
and her daughter, Elettra, which capture the line’s “Intimate
Italian Cruising” concept. The images are part of Silversea’s new
advertising campaign which will appear in upscale publications such
as Vanity Fair and Vogue.
The Voyage Atlas arranges ports into four categories, based on
their appeal to the “Art Aficionado”, “Gourmand”, “History Buff”,
and “Active Adventurer”. Silversea has also introduced a collection
of unique excursions arranged through an exclusive partnership with
FAI Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (the National Trust for Italy),
an organization created to save, protect and care for the artistic,
architectural and natural beauty of Italy. The new FAI excursions
include the newly restored Vetriano Theater in the medieval town of
Lucca, the smallest historical theatre in the world; the
13th-century abbey in San Fruttuoso off the Ligurian coast, and the
picturesque village of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi.
The Voyage Atlas lists 40 of the world’s most luxurious hotels
such as Monte Carlo’s Hotel de Paris, New York’s Pierre Hotel and
Bangkok’s Peninsula Hotel where guests can extend their vacation
for one or more nights, through the line’s optional Air and Hotel
Program. The Atlas also offers a guide to 34 different Silver
Sights pre- and post-cruise programs, featuring three-night stays
at deluxe hotels, full breakfast, porterage and transfers. Land
tours include “The Roof of the World: Exploring Tibet,” which
journeys to the mysterious city of Lhasa, as well as Potala, the
former Winter Palace of the Dalai Lama; the Jokhang Temple; the
Barkor, Lhasa’s bustling market; and Drepung, a large monastic
university. The “Wonders of China” visits the 80,000 life-size
terracotta warriors of Xian, the Great Wall in Beijing, the Summer
Palace and the Forbidden City’s Temple of Heaven. “In the Shadow of
Kilimanjaro ” offers a luxury safari in the Amboseli National Park,
and a visit to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Silversea, which prides itself on its changing array of unique
ports, will travel to new destinations in Libya, Iceland, Iran and
Korea in 2005-2006.
