This year, along with two new ships and multiple new itineraries, Variety Cruises has appointed six new sales representatives across the U.S. to introduce its small ship and yacht cruises to agents and provide sales materials as well as the opportunity to participate in the company’s group and rewards programs.
Fred Trachtman, based in Baltimore, Md.,will cover Delaware; Washington, D.C.; Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Virginia. Hans Bucheli, based in Washington D.C., will cover Florida, Georgia and North and South Carolina. Dennis Cossidente, based in Chicago, will cover Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota, while John DiJulio, based in Houston, will cover Texas. Enzo Coletta, based in San Francisco, will cover California, Oregon and Washington. The new Sales Team is headed by Bill Gerrard, based in Scottsdale, who will also cover Arizona and Colorado.
“This increased presence and investment in the travel trade market and our involvement with several consortia such as Ensemble and Vacation.com, demonstrates our support to our brick-and-mortar agencies and home-based travel partners,” said Yiannis Vontas, senior partner and executive vice president of development and marketing.
New agent initiatives and offerings include:
- The opportunity to learn and participate in the Variety Cruises Groups Program offering price reduction on cruise fares from 10 percent with accommodations for two nights; up to 20 percent cruise only reduction; one free cabin for four paying cabins (fifth cabin free); one free upgrade for one stateroom and 20 percent commission and a bottle of wine and fruit basket in each stateroom.
- Variety Stars Reward Program will allow agents to win free cruises for themselves and a companion.
- The introduction of new Webinars Programs over the next three months.
