Holland America Line has announced that bookings for its 2026 European cruise season are up more than one-third compared to the same period last year. The cruise line is seeing particularly strong demand for Northern Europe itineraries, which have increased nearly 50% year over year.

The growth in Northern Europe bookings reflects traveler interest in the region's natural landscapes and accessible cities. Holland America Line offers departures from Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Dover, England, for these voyages.

"Given the strong pace of bookings we're seeing and our 'Start Your Journey' wave promotion underway, I'd recommend anyone considering a summer European cruise book soon," said Dan Rough, vice president of revenue management for Holland America Line. "With our Dutch roots and unmatched expertise in the region, guests know they're traveling with the European cruise experts when they choose Holland America. These voyages will sell out and at the fast pace we are seeing this year, now is a good time for guests to secure their ideal cruise."

The cruise line's 2026 Europe season features itineraries with extended port days and overnight stays to allow passengers more time for exploration. The schedule includes visits to more than 175 UNESCO World Heritage sites across 35 countries in the Mediterranean, the British Isles, Northern Europe and the Canary Islands. Ports of call range from major cities such as Barcelona; Naples, Italy; and Dubrovnik, Croatia, to smaller destinations including Portofino, Italy; St. Tropez, France; and Valletta, Malta.
