HX, formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions, has announced its 2026-2027 itinerary season, coinciding with the company's 130th year of expedition cruising. The company is introducing new itineraries in Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland, Norway and the Galapagos.

"These are the best destinations done better than ever," said Alex McNeil, chief expedition officer of HX. "We're building on over a century of maritime expertise by enhancing local partnerships and community-focused experiences, ensuring a lasting, positive impact wherever we go."

Key highlights of the 2026-2027 season include a "Solar Eclipse Expedition" as a journey to Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland, timed to witness the total solar eclipse over East Greenland on August 12, 2026; and "Ultimate Norway," a seven-night expedition launching in January 2026, focusing on the Norwegian concept of friluftsliv or "free air life." The itinerary includes visits to the Lyngen Alps, Lofoten Islands, Vesteralen and Senja.

Or in Europe, new expeditions depart from Dover and Hamburg, exploring the continent's west coast and Svalbard, while Alaska's Inside Passage will map two new voyages - a nine-night "Fjords of the Great Land" trip from Vancouver to Seward, and a 12-night "Where the Mountains Meet the Sea" journey from Seward to Vancouver.

And in Antarctica, the "Explorer's Route" is a nine-day voyage across the Antarctic Peninsula, visiting the South Shetland Islands, Antarctic Sound, Weddell Sea, Gerlache Strait and Penola Strait.

HX is offering loyalty members an additional 5% discount on all 2026-2027 season sailings, combinable with other offers. A reduced deposit of 15% is available on bookings made through November 11, 2024, for selected departures from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.

"Each voyage is designed to change the way our guests see the world," concluded McNeil.
