No Margaritaville at Sea ship would be complete without some form of entertainment from singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffet himself.
The namesake Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will feature "Tales from Margaritaville: Jimmy’s Ship Show,” written and produced by Buffet and producer Frank Marshall.
The show first premiered when the ship set sail on its maiden voyage from the Port of Palm Beach, Fla. to Grand Bahama Island last week. (In fact, Buffet was just onboard with a surprise concert for the ship’s christening ceremony when Shaquem Griffin, NFL Game Changer Award winner and godfather, officially named the rebranded vessel.)
“We are thrilled with the response we’ve received since announcing Margaritaville at Sea, both from our travel advisor partners and the public at large,” said Francis Riley, chief commercial officer of Margaritaville at Sea. “There is incredible demand for the unique product we are bringing to market, and the announcement of our onboard entertainment will certainly create even more excitement, as we are offering exclusive programming you can’t find anywhere else.”
Tales From Margaritaville: Jimmy’s Ship Show and Other Onboard Offerings
“Tales From Margaritaville: Jimmy’s Ship Show” will be the headliner, promising to take guests on a “musical odyssey,” according to the line, with tales and tunes taking inspiration from Buffet’s bestselling book, “Tales from Margaritaville.”
“It’s been very cool working with Jimmy to put together a ship show filled with his unforgettable songs and stories,” Marshall said.
“We could not be more excited to have our guests experience this show onboard Margaritaville at Sea — created and written by Jimmy and Frank,” added Tamara Baldanza-Dekker, chief marketing officer of Margaritaville. “[It’s] a match made in paradise.”
Besides the main show, island music, a signature “Fins Up Crew” and Margaritaville stilt walkers will greet guests upon embarkation, and additional live musicians, late-night comedians (on select departures), family game shows, theme parties, children’s programming and streamed concerts will entertain passengers in the Oasis Room and elsewhere onboard.
