Located on the Pest side of the Danube River that bisects Budapest, the Hungarian National Parliament building is one of the city's most magnificent landmarks. I visited Budapest on a tour with Tauck, and one of our excursions was an evening cruise down the river.
We glided quietly past one architectural wonder after another, but this particular building's neo-Gothic, Byzantine architecture and grandeur made it the showstopper of the entire tour.
