If you are a museum fiend like me, London is a fantastic city to visit. In addition to Tate Modern, British Museum and the National Gallery, travelers would be wise to add Victoria and Albert Museum to their list. Also known as V&A, the museum houses a wealth of ancient and contemporary objects.
One of the best parts of the museum, however, is hidden away in the back: the Theatre and Performance collection. This lesser-known exhibit of V&A houses costumes and performance props from productions such as "The Producers" and "War Horse" as well as clothing worn by famous musicians including David Bowie and Mick Jagger. Visitors can try on costumes and learn about famous British performers and the history of theatrical design. Fun fact: Australian singer Kylie Minogue's dressing room from 2003 is enclosed in glass and available for viewing.
