General Tours World Traveler is offering a savings of $500 per couple on its fully escorted, 11-day Danube Cruise & Tour to Oberammergau, Germany, priced from $5,599, per person, if reservations are made by April 1. The rates are based on three limited-availability departures taking place on Sept. 5, 12 and 19.
The all-inclusive package provides all meals, sightseeing and on-tour transportation as well as premium center orchestra seats at the Passion Play Theatre for the 41st presentation of the historic play.

The journey begins with a seven-night luxury river cruise aboard Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection’s recently launched River Beatrice, which will sail on the Danube River between Passau, Germany, and Budapest, Hungary. The new ship, which debuted in spring 2009, boasts light-filled riverview staterooms, 80 percent of which have French balconies. The cruise includes superb continental cuisine; complimentary regional wines and beer with dinner; and in-depth, audio-guided sightseeing with Uniworld’s signature Quietvox system in destinations such as Salzburg, Melk and Vienna, Austria.
Once disembarked, the tour continues through the Bavarian Alps to Berchtesgaden, Germany. Accommodations are at the new five-star InterContinental Berchtesgaden Resort where General Tours guests enjoy complimentary access to the Mountain Spa and guestroom minibar.
