Turkey is known for its spas for a reason. Its legendary hot springs, once visited by historical figures such as Agamemnon and Julius Caesar, have lost neither appeal nor popularity over time. Today, the country boasts 1,300 thermal springs and more than 190 spa resorts, making Turkey an ideal destination to host the second annual Health, Spa & Wellness, Thalasso and Thermal Tourism Exhibition.
The exhibition will be held in Antalya, Turkey, on March 4-6. The wellness exhibition is part of Anfas Hetex 2010, a major trade fair that attracts exhibitors and buyers from all over the world and revolves around spas, health and wellness and medical tourism this year.
The 2010 exhibition will provide practical information about health tourism, thermal and Thalasso spas, sports, healthy lifestyle, cosmetic treatments, personal care products and health technologies. Attendees and exhibitors will include international health insurance companies, spa and medical tour operators, health associations, health institutions and spa operators.
The site of the expo, Antalya, is known as the Turkish Riviera, where pine-covered mountains meet the clear sea. The Antalya region, which boasts 300 days of sunlight throughout the year, is an idea spot for sunbathing, swimming, water sports, yachting, skiing, hiking and golf. In March, when the expo takes place, participants can take the opportunity to ski at Saklikent, a winter resort, in the mornings and swim the warm waters of the Mediterranean in the afternoons. The beautiful coast is home to around 1,000 hotels.
