The addition of new venues to Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District this year will result in a one-of-a-kind Disney experience that immerses guests in family-friendly dining, shopping and entertainment, according to Michael Ramirez, public relations manager for Disney Destinations.
Among the new dining options is the first Orange County location of San Diego-based craft brewer Ballast Point, where adults will be able to sample exclusive, limited-edition beers available only at Downtown Disney, and the first California location of Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, a chain known for creative burgers and signature “CrazyShake” milkshakes.
New entertainment additions to Downtown Disney include “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire,” a multisensory hyper-reality experience that transports guests right into the center of the “Star Wars” universe; and the two-story Splitsville Luxury Lanes, which offers bowling, dining, drinks and live entertainment.
For shoppers who want a little Disney magic at home, the newly opened Disney Home offers a huge selection of decorative, kitchen, pet and holiday items. The flagship World of Disney store — already the go-to spot for all things Disney-themed — will be reimagined into an expanded retail experience.
