It’s not often that young explorers can search and dig for fossils, explore Maya ruins and race down looping waterslides all in one day. Now they can, thanks to a brand-new, 16,145 square-foot outdoor play zone at the KidZ Club at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun.
The new waterpark features a towering Maya temple and a “spray ground” complete with a wading pool, fountains and waterfalls. Young guests can currently enjoy portions of the park, and the final unveiling of attractions will take place in November. The sand-and-water-themed feature comes just one year after the debut of the resort’s multimillion-dollar, 40,000-square-foot KidZ Club, which offers distinct zones dedicated to various age groups. Activities for young guests include a “cityscape” with Mexican-style homes, a fire station, an “I spy” wall made of Latin American iconography and more. Tweens can play the latest in Xbox and Wii game systems or try out their acting skills in the new Open Play Theater.
