New DreamWorks Theatre Coming to Universal Hollywood

This summer, guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood had the chance to pose for photos with some of their favorite DreamWorks characters, including “Shrek’s” Puss ‘n Boots; Po and Tigress from “Kung Fu Panda;” and “Madagascar’s” Alex the Lion, King Julian and The Penguins.

In 2018, Universal Hollywood will once again leverage the popularity of DreamWorks movies when it opens the DreamWorks Theatre. 

At the specially designed venue, park guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of action-packed DreamWorks Animation-themed attractions, starting with an adventure inspired by “Kung Fu Panda.” This new high-tech attraction will combine state-of-the-art projection mapping and LED lighting effects to take guests on a multisensory journey through the story, allowing park goers of all ages to experience their favorite DreamWorks movies in a whole new way.
