Universal Orlando to Open Water Park in 2017

This past spring, Universal Orlando Resort announced a third addition to its Florida theme park lineup. Joining Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Island of Adventure is Volcano Bay, a water theme park, set to debut in 2017. The water park will be located within Universal Orlando Resort, just south of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

With construction already under way, Universal says its vision for the park follows in the same vein as their previous attractions: immersive and interactive.

Volcano Bay joins a series of new experiences and changes for Universal Orlando. With eight new venues making their recent debut at Universal CityWalk, and with the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Skull Island: Reign of Kong due in 2016, it seems as if there is no stopping the ride Universal is on.
