Located about 25 miles from Paris, Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 as the second Disney theme park outside the U.S., following the 1983 opening of Tokyo Disneyland. In 2002, Walt Disney Studios Park was added; however, March 29, 2026, marks its official rebranding as Disney Adventure World, with more than 90% of the park's offerings transformed since 2002, and doubling its footprint.
“March 29, 2026, is a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris with the transformation of our second park into Disney Adventure World, and the opening of its spectacular new expansion,” said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris. “With this step, we’re pursuing the most ambitious transformation in our resort’s history … marking a new era for Europe’s No. 1 tourist destination, filled with deeper storytelling, stronger emotions and unforgettable moments.”
Here are some of the new experiences clients can expect at Disneyland Paris Resort’s reimagined theme park.
As clients arrive at Disney Adventure World, they'll pass through World Premiere Plaza, a redesigned entry experience evoking a glamorous Hollywood movie premiere with an open-air space inspired by Broadway and the West End.

Next, they’ll find themselves at Adventure Way, a promenade lined with attractions, 14 brand-new dining outlets and gardens inspired by Disney and Pixar stories — all leading to Adventure Bay, the stage for "Disney Cascade of Lights," an all-new, one-of-a-kind nighttime spectacular debuting March 29, with fireworks, water screen projections and drone displays.
Disney says the show will feature the world’s first integration of an aquatic drone system alongside next-generation aerial drones, creating “choreography across sky and water.” The 360-degree show, inspired by the films "Mulan," "Hercules," "Moana," "Zootopia," "Up" and the Marvel Universe, will also feature new arrangements of classic Disney music, along with an original anthem, "We Can Be Heroes."

A large part of the resort’s multi-year, $2.3 billion expansion is World of Frozen, a 7.5-acre, full-scale recreation of the Kingdom of Arendelle from the blockbuster Frozen movies, including the 118-foot-high North Mountain. Disney’s third Frozen-themed land (the others are at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea) will also feature Walt Disney Imagineering’s next-generation free-roaming Audio-Animatronics figure of the adorable snowman, Olaf.

The land’s signature attraction, an updated version of the Frozen Ever After boat ride at Epcot in Orlando and Hong Kong Disneyland, takes clients through the “Frozen” story, including its most beloved musical moments. Paris’ attraction will also feature cutting-edge technology, including state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics figures of Anna, Elsa and Kristoff, as well as new immersive projection effects to enhance the ride experience.

In addition, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the award-winning duo who wrote the hit songs for the Frozen franchise, have composed new music exclusively for the show.
First-Ever Lion King-Themed Land
Construction began in fall 2025 at Disney Adventure World for the first land themed to the 1994 Disney animated classic, “The Lion King,” including a new water-based attraction with next-generation Audio-Animatronics figures housed inside the 121-foot-high Pride Rock.

Disney has described the attraction as “a wondrous, and sensational adventure through iconic scenes and sceneries from the beloved animated movie, navigating a path with three exciting slopes, including an impressive 16-meter52-foot-high descent.”
Additional Exclusive Attractions
Adventure Way will include Raiponce Tangled Spin, an all-new, family-friendly attraction based on the film "Tangled." Guests will board ornate gondolas inspired by the movie as they spin beneath the glowing lanterns from the film’s memorable Lantern Festival scene — accompanied by the song “I See the Light,” of course. Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, has recorded audio announcements exclusively for the new attraction.
