As Oahu positions itself as a value vacation second to none, wholesalers are following suit with alluring specials for budget-minded clients.

“This year is an exceptionally good time to vacation on Oahu, with all of the competitive deals and specials in the marketplace,” said Oahu Visitors Bureau’s senior director of sales and marketing Noelani Schilling-Wheeler. “Oahu has historically been one of the more affordable Hawaiian islands to visit. Taking into account the wide range of accommodations, activities, attractions, restaurants and retail options for visitors to choose from, the value of an Oahu vacation becomes even greater, as there is something to please every traveler here.”

Doing their part to stimulate Oahu travel, wholesalers have been reducing their summer rates, offering free nights and throwing in daily breakfast at a variety of Oahu properties.

“There are fantastic deals to Oahu this year,” said Tamara Aalto, product manager for the wholesaler All About Hawaii. “It is definitely a buyer’s market. We are seeing rate reductions and package specials that we haven’t seen in years past, at least not on this magnitude.”
