A Peek at Fairmont Kea Lani's Energizing Wellness Program

Clients get a boost of energy from many sources, from food and exercise to meditation and relaxation. Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui has integrated all of those ingredients into Inspire Your Energy, a comprehensive fitness and wellness program that’s aimed at invigorating each visitor.

“Our guests are very interested in staying fit and eating healthy while traveling,” said Christianna Brown, spa director for the hotel. “Similarly, they enjoy immersing themselves in the traditions of the local culture. So, we decided to launch a curated fitness and wellness program designed to motivate and challenge all our guests, from experienced athletes to clients who are embarking on new, personal journeys.”

For the conditioning component, the program taps the talents of Ty Roberts, an exercise guru who gets the blood flowing during ongoing group classes including Aqua Fitness and Pilates Plus. Roberts and his team also keep pace with the specific needs and passions of their clients through customized, one-on-one workouts. Young guests are encouraged to get into the act at Family Boot Camp, Family Yoga and Keiki (Kids) Obstacle, all within the stimulating setting of south Maui.

Bringing nutrition into play, Kea Lani helps clients eat well and — when needed — follow careful diets during their stay. In each of the resort’s restaurants, Inspire Your Energy menus feature low-sugar and high-protein options as well as vegan fare. Guests can fuel up on locally sourced, well-balanced meals that taste delicious.

When it’s time to unwind, Kea Lani’s Willow Stream Spa takes over, incorporating Maui-derived products and traditional Hawaiian healing techniques. For instance, the Aroma Iliili Intuitive Balancing treatment begins with a ginger and bamboo exfoliation, followed by a massage that integrates organic oils and healing stones.

For clients who are intrigued by the program, Kea Lani has introduced the Inspire Your Energy Wellness Package. The price begins at $789 per night and includes suite or villa accommodations. Daily breakfast, daily fitness classes, a 30-minute fitness and wellness consultation, two spa treatments and a signed copy of Live In Wonder: Quests, Quotes and Questions To Jumpstart Your Journey by Eric Saperston are included in the rate.
