Breezes Bahamas has opened The Banana Boat, a new, nautical-themed restaurant on-site. Following a $1.5 million renovation, The Banana Boat replaces the former main dining room and offers a sushi bar, a carving station and a cheese and wine display.
The new buffet-style venue seats up to 300 people at white linen tables and booths. Outdoor terrace seating is available, and the Captain’s Table is a private dining option for VIPs that seats up to 10 people. Reservations for the Captain’s Table can be made in advance.
“We decided to add the preferred seating because we are seeing more and more multigenerational families visit the resort, in addition to small meetings and other groups of travelers,” said Muna Issa, vice president of operations of SuperClubs. “We’ve long had the demand for larger set tables, and we think this new option will be well-received by guests who prefer a private space.”
The Banana Boat is the latest upgrade to the Nassau resort, which recently completed a refurbishment of its 391 guestrooms and suites, in addition to updating its lobby/entertainment area and adding free in-room and property-wide Wi-Fi access.
