The $145 million property-wide capital improvements on Cable
Beach Resorts & Crystal Palace casino have been completed.
Since its 2005 acquisition of the properties, Baha Mar Resorts Ltd.
invested in an aggressive and comprehensive renovation program.
The resort’s two sister properties, the Wyndham Nassau Resort
and the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort, together with the Crystal
Palace Casino, now offer newly renovated and upgraded
accommodations, all-new dining options, a redesign of the exterior
and interior spaces, a variety of new guest amenities and services
and a new entertainment program.
“Cable Beach Resorts is by any measure an entirely new resort
destination,” said Michael Hooper, senior vice president of
operations, Cable Beach Resorts. “When we first acquired these
properties, they were tired and worn, however we saw the potential,
particularly given their location on what is indisputably Nassau’s
most famous and beautiful beach. We welcome guests with an all-new
look, feel and guest experience, while still offering tremendous
value.”
The Wyndham Nassau Resort completed a series of refurbishments,
including a top-to-bottom renovation of 304 rooms in its Hibiscus
and Marlin Towers, each outfitted with new flat-screen televisions
and new in-room refrigerators; a refreshed and more stylish
exterior; and a revamping of its family-friendly pool with giant
waterslide. The Wyndham’s 30,000-square-foot meeting space has also
been upgraded with new furniture, carpet and air conditioning.
The Crystal Palace Casino is the only casino on Cable Beach
offering Vegas-style gaming and features nearly 400
state-of-the-art slot machines; almost 40 liberal table games;
video poker; and video blackjack. The newly modernized casino
introduced the VIP Crystal Beach Club for its Platinum and Diamond
Passport Rewards Club members, which features an exclusive
beachside experience offering massages, cabana rentals, food and
beverage service and beach games. A brand new high-limit slot and
table area will try the luck of daring clients.
New dining and nightlife options at the Wyndham include the
Asian-cuisine restaurant Moso; the classic steakhouse Black Angus
Grille; and the renovated party lounge 22 above, which overlooks
the casino floor. The new buffet restaurant SeaSide features a
tropical interior design with views of the pool and beach, as well
as an enhanced and diverse menu of classic American and Caribbean
specialty dishes. For their convenience, clients can now indulge in
Starbucks or at the new Junkanoo Bar on the casino floor.
This month, the all-new Sheraton Cable Reach Resort will also be
complete with its full-range of accommodations, dining options and
amenities. Situated along a 1,000-foot stretch of Nassau’s Cable
Beach, the resort features 694 guestrooms and suites offering a
large private balcony or a patio with views of the Atlantic Ocean,
lush gardens or the resort’s spectacular waterscape. Rooms come
equipped with high-speed Internet, LCD flat-screen televisions and
the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed.
Six restaurants and lounges abound at the Sheraton Cable Beach
Resort, serving a variety of island specialties and international
cuisine, including Amici A Trattoria, Bimini Market and Dolphin
Grille. Additional lounge and bar areas provide places to relax and
enjoy the panoramic views of the beach.
Cable Beach Resorts & Crystal Palace Casino is conveniently
located within 15 minutes of Nassau International Airport.
