The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, which owns and operates 45 hotels in 28 countries, has recently opened its first city hotel in China, the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. Fashioned by interior designer Tony Chi to blend traditional and modern Chinese styles, the hotel will comprise 233 guestrooms, 30 suites and 24 serviced apartments; a spa with private rooms and couples’ suites; and a diverse array of dining choices featuring Chinese and Western cuisines. To celebrate the opening, Mandarin Oriental is offering two promotional packages, both available Jan. 24 to April 13.
These packages, Second Night On Us and Discover Mandarin Oriental, both include free in-room wireless Internet access, two-hour shopping concierge service in the nearby TaiKoo Hui center for suite guests and one-way rail station transfer or one-way airport transfer for suite guests. The Second Night On Us package includes two nights, the second of which is complimentary. The Discover Mandarin Oriental package includes one night’s accommodation as well as a credit of $140 for room guests and $300 for suite guests, redeemable at the hotel’s spa or restaurants.
