Fan’s of the “Hangover 2” are already familiar with luxury hotel company Lebua Hotels & Resorts. The company’s flagship Bangkok property was featured in the movie. Now, Lebua Hotels & Resorts is expanding into India and plans to open as many as four properties in major cities across the country.
Lebua’s first India property will be in New Delhi and is set to open by the end of this year. The 400-room property, the Lebua New Delhi, will be located in Dwarka in West Delhi. Food and beverage offerings will include a high-end, authentic Indian restaurant with a renowned Indian Michelin-starred chef. Signature Lebua restaurants from the Bangkok flagship -- Mezzaluna, Sirocco and Breeze -- will open in the hotel following the soft launch in December.
“Beginning with the opening of our flagship location in Bangkok, Lebua has helped shape the luxury accommodation and dining scene in Southeast Asia,” said Deepak Ohri, CEO of Lebua Hotels & Resorts. “We plan to bring the same to India, beginning with Delhi.”
Following New Delhi, the hotel company is looking into a resort hotel in Punjab and another hotel in Mumbai. Further development plans beyond India include destination restaurants in Sydney, Hong Kong, London and an invitation-only chateaux in France.
