Travel advisors who sell or are interested in selling Grand Cayman can benefit from special agent rates offered by Locale, Grand Cayman, a boutique hotel and a relative newcomer to the island.

At the property, which opened earlier this year, advisors will pay $95 per night through Dec. 20, 2019.

Locale, Grand Cayman has appeal for both leisure and business travelers.

“We have a consistent mix of leisure travelers who stay for three to four days, and business travelers, who book four to 14 days,” said Aliya Dunstan, sales and marketing manager of Locale, Grand Cayman.

The 42-room hotel is located on the island’s Seven Mile Beach corridor and is already attracting a millennial clientele. These younger travelers appreciate the tech-forward and modern amenities, the laid-back ambiance at the pool deck and on-site, fast-casual restaurant Bonfire Urban Italian Kitchen.

Two room categories are available: King Loft and Double Queen. Both categories have kitchenettes equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and a sink. Additionally, an Amazon Alexa voice assistant powered by Volara (hotel-friendly software) is included in every guestroom, along with wireless phone chargers. Plans are in place for the property to become more eco-friendly thanks to solar-powered electricity and to offer reusable water bottles for guests to take advantage of during their stay.

Additional perks and amenities include free Wi-Fi access throughout the property and complimentary continental breakfast.

While not located directly on the beach, Locale is situated on the beach side of West Bay Road.

“All rooms share the same views of West Bay Road,” Dunstan said. “Rooms located in the middle of the building, such as units 209 to 212 and 309 to 312, have a spectacular view of Lawrence Boulevard., looking toward Camana Bay.”

The hotel is also convenient to Grand Cayman shopping, dining and nightlife.

“The local minibuses along the road are frequent, cheap and friendly,” Dunstan said. “The beach can be accessed by way of an access path, requiring less than a five-minute walk. Guests can also easily visit the nearby Royal Palms Beach Club, a popular entertainment and activity venue on the beach.”

Locale offers Beach Kits available upon request, consisting of a tote bag, a beach towel, can koozies, a tech holder to place in the sand and sunscreen. Dunstan notes that the Beach Kit program will be revamped early next year with new items. Additionally, for the upcoming holiday season, the property will have bikes available for guests to borrow.
