Luxe Expands in Belgium and Italy

Aug 19, 2010
Luxe Worldwide Hotels had added three hotels in Europe to its collection of independently owned, luxury properties. Located in Venice, Italy, and Brussels, Belgium, the three boutique properties have their own unique flair and offer a distinct sense of place.

Aqua Palace Hotel in Venice, Italy
The Aqua Palace Hotel, a restored 16th-century palace, overlooks a quiet canal in the heart of Venice’s Castello quarter and is a short stroll from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. Guests have easy access to the Venice Theater and the museums of Ca Rezzonico and Ca Pesaro. Nearby, vaporettos (water taxis) transport visitors to the glass shops of Murano and past the colorful houses of Burano and Torcello.

The boutique hotel features 30 rooms and suites on four floors, with each floor offering a common lounge area. Room interiors recall Marco Polo’s Venice by using soft lighting, fine fabrics, marble, wood furniture, antique leather sofas and bronze and iron decorations.

Hotel Royal San Marco in Venice, Italy
Hotel Royal San Marco is centrally located on Calle Dei Fabbri, a quaint alleyway at the foot of Ponte Dei Dai Bridge, which leads directly to the famous Piazza San Marco. Other notable attractions within a few miles of the hotel are Lido di Venezia Beach and the Lido Islands.

Hotel Royal San Marco’s 51 rooms are furnished in traditional Venetian style and offer views of the picturesque Rio delle Procuratie, Calle dei Fabbri or St. Mark’s Bell Tower.

Hotel Manos Premier in Brussels, Belgium
Hotel Manos Premier offers travelers the character and ambience of a private Brussels home, filled with antiques and artwork, in the heart of Brussels. The Avenue Louise shopping district and the Bois de la Cambre park are also in close proximity.

The hotel offers 50 spacious guestrooms and suites, each individually decorated with Louis XV and Louis XVI period furniture and marble bathrooms.

Decorated with carved wood medallions, crystal chandeliers and old paintings, the drawing rooms offer quiet corners for guests to read or relax. Other on-site amenities include a private garden, the Kolya Restaurant, a fitness room and conference facilities.

“These three new properties in Europe represent what Luxe Worldwide Hotels is all about,” Efrem Harkham, chairman of Luxe Worldwide Hotels told TravelAge West. “Each is an independently owned property, which is chic, unique, and features a great location within its respective city. I am proud to have them as a part of our impressive Luxe Worldwide Hotels collection.”
