Regent Hotels & Resorts will launch its newest Asian
property, The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa, in Thailand in March 2009.
The Regent Phuket will join other award-winning hotels and resorts
in Asia, including The Regent Beijing and The Regent Shanghai.
Located on the southeastern tip of Phuket Island on a pristine
beach near the Andaman Sea, the 106-room resort will overlook Cape
Panwa’s picturesque and secluded bay. The 48 terrace rooms, 22
deluxe villas, 35 pool villas and one presidential villa at The
Regent Phuket will all feature private oceanview balconies.
Resort amenities will include a 180-foot swimming pool, tennis
court and a fully equipped health center and spa with 10 treatment
rooms. The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa will also feature two function
rooms for meetings, parties and events.
“We are very excited about this latest resort development in
Phuket, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in
the world,” said Martin Rinck, president and managing director,
Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Asia Pacific. Regent is the luxury brand
of Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
“Regent is an iconic brand in luxury hospitality, and we are
proud to establish its presence in Thailand with The Regent Phuket
Cape Panwa,” Rinck said.
The resort will be located only 15 minutes from Phuket city and
45 minutes from the island’s international airport. The property
will offer private beaches secluded from Phuket’s extensive
developments.
Future Regent Hotels & Resort developments are planned in
Bangkok, Boston, Florida, Costa Rica, Maalefushi Island and the
United Arab Emirates.
