After 12 years of partnership, Sandals Resorts International has taken the option to terminate its lease with the owners of the property now known as Beaches Sandy Bay Resort effective Sept. 30. Sandals reached mutual agreement with the owners of the hotel to maintain full operations until Aug. 31 in order to accommodate existing bookings. Guests scheduled to stay at Beaches Sandy Bay after Aug. 31 will have the option to change their booking to any similar accommodation at another Beaches Resort in Jamaica without penalty or change fees. Pioncianna Resorts Limited will resume the day-to-day running of the hotel immediately upon Sandals’ departure.
